Currently we are running two sets of workshops. If you have an idea for a new kind of workshop please contact mike@mikeprince.com

  • Agent Builder Workshops - bi-weekly workshops (calendar) in San Francisco and the South Bay designed to help agent builders with both technical guidance, and the opportunity to network with resources such as AI model providers, cloud infrastructure, agent orchestration, talent, and capital.
  • Northstar Pitch Workshops - bi-weekly workshops in the South Bay/Peninsula for founders who want hands-on help developing their elevator pitches and decks, and to practice presentations.

Agent Builder Workshop Themes

Some ideas we are developing for future workshops. If you have an idea for a new theme please let us know.

  • Vibe Coding for Product Managers and Entrepreneurs - Gone are the days when you could pitch a new product idea with a few sketches and some slides. Tech companies and investors expect to see live demos of new product ideas that didn't require a team of engineers – instead they should have been quickly vibe coded by a non-technical founder. This workshop gives a quick preview of vibe coding, a panel of non-technical founders who launched with a vibe coded app, and a hands-on workshop showing how to vibe code.
    • The Shift: "From Figma to Functional" – A talk by Vercel (v0) on why static mocks are dead.
    • The Tool: "Building your MVP in 20 Minutes" – Live demo by Replit or Bolt.new.
    • The Panel: "We Launched Without Engineers" – 3 Founders who built revenue-generating startups using only AI coding agents.
    • Hands-On: "Vibe Code Your First Feature" – Attendees open laptops, go to Bolt.new, and build a To-Do list or Landing Page in real-time.
  • World of MCP services overview - Thousands of MCP services are now available, and we are entering an era where every network service will be expected to provide an MCP interface. This workshop provides an overview of MCP, reviews a popular MCP aggregator, and a hands-on workshop to use the aggregators MCP catalog.
    • Intro / Overview - Anthropic Inventors of the protocol; can speak to the "era of MCP interfaces."
    • Aggregator Showcase - Smithery.ai The leading "Yellow Pages" for MCP; perfectly fits the "review a popular aggregator" requirement.
    • Hands-On Lab - Cursor (or Replit) The best "host" environments for users to actually use the catalogs during a workshop.
  • AI Scientists on the Benchtop: Autonomous Agents for Drug Discovery. The next frontier of Deep Research in the life sciences lies in autonomous, multi-agent systems—AI-driven "scientists" that can reason, plan experiments, execute bioinformatics workflows, and correct their own errors. This workshop reviews the architecture of Agentic Bioinformatics, dives deep into a company's collaborative agent platform, and provides a hands-on experience designing an AI-driven drug discovery pipeline.
    • Insilico Medicine: Their continuous work on an end-to-end platform (Pharma.AI) means they operate on an implicit multi-agent architecture (Target ID, Molecule Generation, Synthesis Prediction). Their tools like PandaOmics (Target ID Agent) and Chemistry42 (Chemistry Agent) could be framed as specialized, interacting agents.
    • Deep Dive into One Company's Offering: Causaly is the best fit because their public-facing "Agentic Research" is a direct match for the theme and is structured for clear, impressive demos.
    • Hands-on Workshop: An Academic Presenter of a framework like BioMaster or a demo using NVIDIA BioNeMo would be most practical for a technical audience looking to "do your own deep research."
  • Data Privacy - How will agents collect sensitive information to accomplish their tasks while preserving privacy? This workshop reviews data privacy laws in different countries (the US, EU, and UK), some technical solutions (SOLID), and provides a hands-on workshop for sharing data between agents.
  • Last-mile transactions with A2A - How can selective disclosure between agents increase the value and security of agentic transactions?
  • Payments in the Agentic Ecomony - How will payments be handled in the agentic economy? This workshop reviews the global market size, big players, and opportunities for innovation. A technical deep-dive will demonstrate how AP2 operates and a hands-on workshop will help you do your first transaction.
  • Agent Orchestration Frameworks - Learn how agents are wired-up and review the most popular orchestration frameworks. We will deep dive into the features of one framework and then provide a hands-on workshop to develop your first agent.
  • Deploying your agent to the cloud - Review the top cloud providers and their agent deployment capabilities. Deep dive into one of the providers and then a hands-on workshop will help you deploy your first agent.
  • Deep Research -
  • RAG -
  • Agent Identity -
